Cricut Workshops
Cricut machines open up a huge range of creative possibilities, from cards, vinyl decals and personalised gifts to engraving and more complex construction projects. Whether you are completely new to Cricut or already use your machine and would like to explore more of what it can do, our workshops are designed to help you build your skills and confidence at your own pace.
We have highlighted some of the Cricut workshops available here at RE Treats Plymouth below. If the workshop you are looking for isn't currently running, there is a particular technique you would like to learn, or you would prefer to learn on your own, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate your request with a bespoke workshop.
First Cuts
If you are new to Cricut, this is the perfect place to start. Learn how to set up and navigate the software, load a project and use the basic tools needed to get your machine cutting. You’ll begin to understand how your Cricut works while building the confidence to create projects independently.
Put your new skills into practice by creating your own card.
Vinyl and Signs
Discover how to work with vinyl and take greater control of your designs. Learn how to manipulate a design in the software, prepare and cut vinyl accurately and transfer your finished design successfully onto your chosen surface.
Use these techniques to create your own 2D and 3D vinyl decals.
Engraving
Explore another creative possibility for your Cricut by learning how to engrave. You’ll look at which designs work well for engraving, which materials are suitable and how to set up and finish your project successfully.
Put these skills together to create your own engraved night light.
Construction
Take your Cricut skills further by exploring some of the less commonly used tools and more challenging materials. You’ll develop your accuracy and confidence while learning how individual cut pieces can be assembled to create more complex three-dimensional projects.
Use your developing skills to create practicalmachine tool storage.

Start at the stage that matches your current experience and progress through the workshops as your confidence and skills develop. You don't have to start at the beginning if you already have some experience.
Workshops are kept small, so places are limited on each date.

From scared to open the box to creating with Cricut
Starting point:
Lana had bought a Cricut machine to personalise items for customers in her business, but she didn't know where to start. In fact, she was so nervous about using it that the machine had stayed in its box.
Her progress:
Starting with the introductory project that comes with the Cricut, Lana learned how to set up and use her machine and began to understand how the different parts of the process worked. She then learned how to work with adhesive vinyl, using her own business logo as the design.
What she achieved:
By the end of the session, Lana had gone from never having used her Cricut to successfully creating her own logo in adhesive vinyl, giving her the skills to start using her machine to personalise items for her customers.
