RE Treats Plymouth Workshop Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 8 July 2026
Welcome
These Workshop Terms & Conditions are designed to help ensure that everyone enjoys a safe, welcoming and positive experience at RE Treats Plymouth. They explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you when booking and attending one of our workshops.
By booking a workshop with RE Treats Plymouth, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking Your Workshop
Workshop places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received.
Where applicable, confirmation of your booking, together with any joining instructions, will be sent to you by email before the workshop.
2. Workshop Information
We make every effort to ensure that workshop descriptions, dates, times, prices and photographs are accurate.
Occasionally, small changes may be necessary. Should a significant change be required, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
3. Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
Payments may be made by:
- BACS
- Stripe
Workshop prices include any materials or equipment specifically listed in the workshop description.
4. Cancelling Your Booking
We appreciate that plans can sometimes change and understand that unexpected circumstances may arise.
More than 24 hours' notice
If you are unable to attend and provide at least 24 hours' notice, we will transfer your booking to the next available workshop of the same type wherever possible.
Less than 24 hours' notice
If less than 24 hours' notice is given, we may be unable to offer a transfer or refund, as your workshop place has been reserved specifically for you.
Illness
If you wake up feeling unwell on the day of your workshop, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, we will always try to help, particularly where illness may affect the wellbeing of other attendees.
Non-attendance
If you do not attend your workshop and have not contacted us beforehand, your booking will normally be treated as a non-attendance and no refund or transfer will be available.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that exceptional situations can arise.
RE Treats Plymouth reserves the right to exercise discretion and consider requests outside these Terms & Conditions on a case-by-case basis.
5. If We Need to Cancel
We make every effort to deliver all workshops as advertised.
Occasionally, circumstances beyond our reasonable control—such as illness, severe weather, equipment failure or other unforeseen events—may mean that we need to postpone or cancel a workshop.
If this happens, we will offer you one of the following:
- an alternative workshop date;
- an online alternative where appropriate; or
- a full refund if neither option is suitable.
6. Workshop Numbers
Our workshops are intentionally kept small to provide a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of individual support.
In the unlikely event that insufficient bookings are received, RE Treats Plymouth reserves the right to rearrange a workshop.
If this happens, you will be offered either:
- an alternative workshop date; or
- a full refund.
7. Arriving at Your Workshop
Please arrive a few minutes before the advertised start time.
Late arrival may reduce the amount of individual tuition available during the workshop.
If you know you are going to be delayed, please let us know where possible.
8. Equipment and Materials
Most workshops include the materials listed in the workshop description.
Where a workshop requires you to bring your own equipment, this will be clearly stated before booking.
For sewing / embroidery machine or Cricut workshops, attendees are normally required to bring their own sewing machine so they can become familiar and confident using their own equipment at home.
9. Completing Your Project
Our workshops are designed to help you learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy the creative process.
Many workshop projects are completed during the session. However, some larger or more detailed projects—particularly knitting, crochet, dressmaking or embroidery projects—may require additional time to complete at home.
Where this applies, you will receive clear guidance, written instructions where appropriate, and the knowledge you need to confidently complete your project independently.
Our aim is not only to help you create something you'll be proud of, but also to develop the skills and confidence to continue making long after the workshop has finished.
10. Health and Safety
For the safety and enjoyment of everyone attending, we ask that you:
- follow any reasonable instructions given during the workshop;
- use equipment safely and responsibly;
- treat other attendees with courtesy and respect;
- inform us of any accessibility requirements before the workshop wherever possible.
RE Treats Plymouth reserves the right to ask anyone whose behaviour places others at risk or seriously disrupts the workshop to leave.
11. Photography
From time to time, photographs may be taken during workshops for use on our website, social media or other promotional material.
We will always ask your permission before using any photograph in which you are identifiable.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs, simply let us know.
12. Intellectual Property
All workshop notes, demonstrations, photographs, videos, patterns, templates, instructions and teaching materials remain the intellectual property of RE Treats Plymouth.
They are provided for your own personal use only.
They may not be:
- copied for commercial purposes;
- shared publicly;
- distributed to others;
- reproduced without the prior written permission of RE Treats Plymouth.
13. Liability
We take every reasonable care to provide a safe, enjoyable and supportive workshop environment.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RE Treats Plymouth accepts no responsibility for:
- loss of personal belongings;
- damage caused through the misuse of equipment;
- indirect or consequential loss arising from attendance at a workshop.
14. Privacy
Any personal information provided when booking a workshop will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Copies of our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are available on our website.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Workshop Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in legislation or the way we operate our business.
The latest version will always be published on our website.
16. Governing Law
These Workshop Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
